EMERGENCY CALL 0721-608-43333

If you encounter barriers on campus or need help, please call the KIT emergency number.
It is available 24 hours a day.

You may also report any problems in writing to the Control Center.

KIT strives to ensure that all students have access to the KIT rooms and buildings. Campus South is centrally located, level, and close to the city. Nevertheless, there are numerous old buildings that are being successively renovated. Sometimes, an alternative access has to be found, or an event has to be relocated.

If you have access problems, please contact the emergency number for immediate help and inform the Representative for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases. This will make barriers visible, and help can be planned.

Information about Accessibility

The results of the SmartCampus barrierefrei (accessible SmartCampus) project have been providing information on accessibility of the KIT for people with mobility, visual and hearing impairments.

The Accessibility Information Service (AIS)   provides information on:

  • guidance systems
  • access to buildings (ramps, door openers, etc.)
  • elevators
  • disabled toilets
  • facilities for orientation in the building
  • equipment of lecture halls, etc.

Attention: Unfortunately, current data are no longer (since mid 2018) entered in the database.
